The family of the 17-year-old boy, who was killed over an alleged love affair in Bihar’s Muzzafarpur district, cremated him in front of the accused’s house, news agency ANI reported on Sunday. The boy died on Friday night during treatment after he was allegedly beaten and his genitals were mutilated by the girl’s family in Rampur Sah village under Kanti police station.

Baba Ramdev has moved the SC seeking a stay on the proceedings in multiple cases lodged against him in various states over his alleged remarks on the efficacy of allopathy in the treatment of COVID-19. He sought protection from coercive actions in FIRs lodged by the Indian Medical Association (IMA). Ramdev has claimed that allopathy is a “stupid science” and medicines like Remdesivir, Faviflu have failed to treat Covid-19 patients.

UN report on children and armed conflict verified that violations had been committed against 19,379 children in 21 conflicts. An FIR has been filed against former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh after a police inspector accused him of corruption. The FIR has been registered at the city Kotwali police station in Akola in the Vidarbha region against Singh, DCP Parag Manere and 26 other policemen. Akola police has registered zero FIR in the case and then handed it over to Thane police, where an FIR has been registered in connection with a crime.

A 33-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide by drowning herself in a lake, following her husband’s death due to Covid-19 in Maharashtra’s Nanded district, police said on Thursday. The man died in a government hospital on April 13, following which his wife allegedly died by suicide by drowning. The couple had three children, and one of them, a three-year-old boy, followed his mother into the lake and drowned in the process.

Two demonstrators and a policeman were killed on Tuesday in violent clashes between Islamists and police in Pakistan, a day after authorities arrested the head of an Islamist party in the eastern city of Lahore, a senior police official and local media reported. The policeman was killed in overnight clashes with the supporters of Saad Rizvi, the head of the Tehreek-e-Labiak Pakistan who was arrested on Monday, police said.

On Wednesday, A fire broke out at the scrap godown in Mumbai’s Kurla area. The fire was initially reported as minor, but later declared a major one, officials said. “A level three fire reported at 4.18 pm in market of vehicle spare parts at CST Road in Kurla,” officials added. Belapur police on Saturday arrested a social activist for allegedly raping a woman from Navi Mumbai whom he met through a social messaging-group. He met the complainant two years ago and asked her to handle group activities in Navi Mumbai. The two were in constant touch over different activities of their group. Unidentified persons allegedly opened fire at a man outside a bar in Nalasopara (East) on Sunday night. Tulinj police said that four rounds were fired at one Raju Gupta at around 9.30pm outside the QNQ Restaurant and Bar in Moregoan area. Savdhaan India crew member Pramod, who worked as an Assistant Art Director on the sets of Savdhaan India, was killed in a bike accident which happened around 4.30 am on Saturday. A post mortem was conducted a few hours ago before Pramod’s body was handed over to his relatives. Pramod was an AAD (Assistant Art Director) on the crime show Savdhaan India. The second person in question too was killed.

Two persons from Mapusa died after the two-wheeler they were on collided with a four-wheeler at Porbawaddo, Calangute, on Friday evening. The incident occurred at around 5pm. The deceased were identified as Rajuram Sawant, 69, and Dattaprasad Shatanugalu,66. The two were rushed to the GMC Bambolim where they were declared brought dead. Calangute police said they are investigating the matter and no arrests have been made so far.

A one-year-old boy died after coming under the wheels of a minitruck at Thirukalimedu in Kancheepuram district on Wednesday. The accident happened when his uncle was reversing the vehicle. Manikandan owns a minitruck. Around 1.30pm, Kumar was to take the vehicle to a nearby area. Kumar reversed the vehicle. He did not notice Sabareeswaran behind the vehicle.The vehicle ran over the child.

A 23-year-old security guard from Nepal has been arrested for allegedly burgling eight houses where he was working. Police seized gold ornaments and silver articles worth Rs 13 lakh from him. Beerendar Kumar, 23, a resident of Kanakanagar, said he committed the burglaries with his associate Ramesh Biswan Karam, who is suspected to have fled to Nepal with part of the stolen booty.

Two FBI agents were fatally shot and three wounded on Tuesday morning while serving a federal search warrant in a child exploitation case in South Florida, authorities said. Takahiro Shiraishi, known as the “Twitter killer” guilty of killing, dismembering and storing the bodies of the victims in his apartment sentenced to death by Japanese court. He killed and dismembered 9 people, most of whom had posted suicidal thoughts on social media. On Twitter, Shiraishi used the name “Hangman,” promising to help his victims die and inviting them to his apartment. Police arrested Shiraishi in 2017.

The Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday arrested comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa for possession of 86.5 grams of Cannabis. Ganja was recovered from her residence and production office. Both Bharti & Harsh accepted consumption of Ganja. She was placed under arrested as per NDPS Act 1986. From June 15 to November 19, the Delhi police have fined over ₹26.72 crore to people for not following social distancing rules or wearing masks in public places. A total of 5,35,167 people have been fined for violating the Covid-19 norms. The maximum number of people fined were those found roaming in marketplaces or travelling in cars without wearing a mask.
